Welcome to the Civil Engineering Department, one of the oldest branches in engineering. The Department focuses on advanced research and education in the broad areas of Geo-technical, Structural, Transportation, and Water Resources & Environmental Engineering.   The department’s vision is to give an exposure to budding civil technocrats to various challenges in the profession having a highly qualified and experienced faculty with excellent academic record.

There is a wonderful combination of academic excellence and industrial experience amongst the faculty, which is instrumental in imparting the right blend of theoretical and practical knowledge to the students. Our faculty members and students are involved in various research activities in diverse areas of civil engineering. The department is also very active in conducting various conferences, workshops, short term seminars etc. The Department strongly believes in continuous efforts to strive for excellence by exploring new frontiers of knowledge, imparting the latest technical knowledge to the students and conducting high quality research.
